Service Level Agreement
A commitment made to an external party — a customer, client, or partner. Defines response time, resolution time, and service quality standards. A missed SLA is a broken promise with external consequences.
OLA
Operational Level Agreement
An internal commitment between teams or departments. Defines how one team supports another in delivering on an SLA. The internal accountability layer that makes external commitments achievable.
